Wedding Trends for 2025

Top Wedding Trends for 2025 That I’m Loving

Let me first state that by no means do you need to throw away all your wedding plans and implement any of these into your big day! Your wedding should be authentically yours and everything you want it to be. Don’t abide by the trends, just because it’s, well, trending. Trends come and go. Just look back to when photographers were editing everything super orange…

Anyways! With 2025 right around the corner, I wanted to put together my list of my top 2025 wedding trends. These are trends that I am looking forward to or currently loving and want to continue to see into 2025 weddings. Without further ado, here’s my list!

  • Draping

    • Draping can really elevate the feel of your reception. Go all out with it or use it to brighten or cover up some eye sores like poles in your reception space. It can add just the final touch needed to pull everything together.

  • Using unique table names instead of numbers

    • I’ve yet to really see this at a wedding, but instead of table numbers use something that is unique to you as a couple. Your favorite tv shows, places you have traveled together, restaurants you love, etc. The ideas are endless! This gives your guests a little more insight into you as a couple and strays people away from thinking “Damn, we’re all the way at table 25…”

  • Themes

    • Going off the table names, really diving into a theme for your wedding. I’ve seen camping or national park themes where it’s a full weekend with your closest family and friends. Other themes could be full retro, coastal, art deco, celestial, literature to name a few!

  • Emphasis on Film

    • I think 2024 really brought film back into the wedding realm, not only with photography but video too! I think couples are really loving the retro, nostalgic vibes and are implementing these themes and vibes into their wedding day. Couples are going to lean even more into wanting film photos and video at their weddings. We already see the polaroid guest books and disposable cameras left on tables for guests to use.

  • Lots and Lots of Color

    • We’ve already seen the influx of colorful florals and bridesmaids dresses this last year and I think it’s here to stay! I’m loving the pastels, but I think bold bright colors are going to be coming into play as well. Throw in some reds and yellow as well.

  • Interactive Activities for Guests

    • I’ve seen this trickling in, but more activities for guests during the reception than just dancing. Photobooths, paint by numbers, board games or yard games, fire pits with a s’mores bar, sip and search crossword puzzle, etc.

I’m sure there are many other trends that are going to pop up throughout the next year, but these are my current predictions and favorites right now for 2025 weddings. Are there any trends on here that you love and might implement into your own wedding day?
